Vitamin K2
“Vitamin K” is a term used to represent a group of chemically similar fat-soluble compounds that differ in their origin and function. In this regard, the main form of vitamin K, which is also considered the best source, is menaquinone 7 (vitamin K2).

A bit about Vitamin K2
The primary source of vitamin K2 is Natto, a popular Japanese food rich in enzymes that aid digestion (nattokinase). It is a compound produced only in the trans form through the natural fermentation of boiled soybeans by the action of a specific bacterium, Bacillus subtilis spp. natto, and contains approximately 1,000 μg of MK7 (menaquinone 7) per 100 g.
Its main functions
Vitamin K deficiency — especially a lack of vitamin K2 — can result in a phenomenon known as the “calcium paradox,” where very little calcium remains in weak bones, while excess of this mineral accumulates in the arteries, making them stiff and non-elastic.
In conjunction with vitamin D, Natomenna® (MK7) contributes to better calcium transport and absorption by the bones.
Main attributes
Thanks to this production process, we offer the market Vitamin K2 Nattomena®, a fully trans(*) and GMO-Free product, available in various concentrations for use in a wide range of applications, being soluble in both water and oil.
All clinical trial data and published results were conducted with the fermented Vitamin K2, such as Nattomena®.
Additionally, Vitamin K2 Nattomena® holds the most important international certifications ensuring the quality of the product.
(*) The trans isomer of MK7 is primarily responsible for the biological activity of the vitamin and plays a crucial role in bone and cardiovascular health.
Cis analogs are considered biologically inactive.
